Minutes: April 15, 2006, Meeting of EAA Ultralight Squadron 110
The meeting was called to order at 1:35 pm at the Wings of History Clubhouse, by the President, John Feemster. 25 souls on board.
The minutes of the February meeting were approved as published on our website, www.aerodromehq.com.
Treasurer’s Report: John Gould - We have $1625.47 in the account.
There will be a presentation about Light Sport flying with a round table of four people at Amelia Reid Aviation at Reid Hillview Airport on April 29th, at 10:30 am.
Hangars at South County: The paving operation is waiting for ten days of dry weather.
South County Airport Open House:
The Airport Tenant Appreciation Celebration will be on Friday, May 12th, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm. This usually involves free food, with a barbeque.
The Wings of History Open House will happen on Saturday, the 13th. Our Club will present a Fly-By, hopefully with 3 – 4 airplanes, and static display of some members’ aircraft. Mike Ettl will provide a tent shelter for a table display, and Paul Anderson will take photos of the day’s activities.
Three of our group presented a financial gift to Wings Of History on Thursday, toward purchase of a bandsaw for the Prop Shop. The donors were Bill Denison, John Feemster, and John Gould. Thanks for doing that guys!
Mary Doherty announced that the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) makes a magazine available to student pilots for a free 6 months subscription. It’s called AOPA Flight Training. You can subscribe on line at www.flighttraining.aopa.org.
John Feemster gave a brief presentation on Airspace and what is required and requested from us as Ultralight and Sport pilots.
